Volcano on a clear day...
Tonight Sherri and I went for a drive because it was a BEAUTIFUL clear day!! On our way to Girdwood we could see Mt. Redoubt, the volcano, across the inlet and it had a steam plume coming out of it so we had to pull over and snap a picture.
The volcano hasn't erupted in a few weeks but the reports are that it is in a stage of "lava dome building", which means that if and when it erupts again it could be a big one.
Also, below are a couple of other pictures from our drive.

Any guess on how many miles from the volcano you were when you took that picture?
We were approx. 100 miles from Redoubt when we took this picture.
